i am pretty sure version 3.2 is a trojan, it got detected 21 times. a scan of version 3.0.1 shows 0 viruses

Bifrost is a backdoor trojan horse family of more than 10 variants which can infect Windows 95 through Vista. I've taken the dll file from 3.2 and used the exe from 3.0.1. This works.
I don't know if the 3.2 patch makes any sense, but that way it works.
The .dll is not infected, so there's no problem.
